The Space
Your village home to recharge
CALMinho is nestled at the doorstep of the Arrabida Nature Park, just 30 minutes south of Lisbon. A lovingly restored historical village house, it is the perfect blend of rustic authenticity and luxury.
Designed with love, environmental respect, and infused with the global culture & style of your hosts, Matthieu & Mareile Paley, you will feel CALMinho's hug the second you walk through the door. The loft-type space has a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom with tub and washing machine, and a lovely private courtyard garden. The home has two levels: a sleeping loft and a living area. For additional guests, the sofa can convert into a large, comfortable bed, perfect for friends sharing the space.
The Studio

Our CALMinho Pilates Reformer Studio is a warm and welcoming space that creates an ambiance of peaceful inspiration and focused energy, perfect for our one-on-one sessions. With her 17 years of teaching experience, Mareile Paley will guide you through your Tower Reformer classes and adapt each session to your specific needs and level of experience. As the studio shares the same courtyard as the CALMinho house, no other clients will be using the space during your stay, thereby offering you privacy, ease, and blissful serenity.

Imagine an AirBnB with an attached Pilates reformer studio.
You are booking a retreat package, which includes accommodation and daily private classes.
Yes, you can bring someone. CALMinho sleeps up to 4 people (see The Space).
We have one Tower Reformer. Classes will always be one-to-one, but small group mat classes can also be arranged.

Tailoring the Retreat - Just for You
You tell us when you would like to come. We have a 2-night minimum stay.
Typically we include one private Pilates class per day, but if you want more... there can always be more.
Sessions are suitable for all levels. We love to work with clients who need extra attention or might have conditions or injuries that need a knowledgeable teacher.
If you want more than Pilates, explore our optional add-ons. From private chefs to guided nature hikes, and so much more, we love to help customise your stay.

Cancellation policy
Secure your Spot
In order to secure your dates for a private retreat, we need to receive an initial deposit of one-night's stay from you (€160++). We accept Credit Cards, PayPal or direct bank transfer. Please note that we won’t pay for any bank or transfer charges, including PayPal fees.
Travel Insurance
We highly encourage you to purchase travel insurance in case you need to cancel your trip. We have found during our travels that it is well worth having the coverage, as it covers many unforeseen circumstances that may arise while on vacation.
Cancellation up to 60 days before arrival:
Your deposit is fully refundable.
Cancellation after less than 60 days before arrival:
Your initial deposit won't be refundable after this date. If you are not able to attend the retreat but have a friend or family member that would like to attend, we are happy to transfer 100% of the money that you have paid toward your friend or family member.
Remaining payment:
Full payment for the retreat + any inclusions must be received 1 month (30 days) before your arrival.
Non-Response Cancellation:
If we repeatedly attempt to contact you via the communication methods provided by you (email, phone, etc.) to confirm your attendance or request final payment for a retreat, and you do not respond within one week of our third email/message attempt, we reserve the right to cancel your reservation. In this event, your spot may be given to another participant, and you will forfeit any deposit or partial payments made to us.
If we cancel the retreat:
All money paid to us by you will be returned, excluding bank chargers. Unfortunately we cannot compensate you for any plane tickets/transportation arrangements you have already made.
Payment general:
A deposit is required in order to secure your spot. We accept Credit Card (PayPal) and / or direct bank transfer. Please note that we won’t pay for any bank or transfer charges, including PayPal fees.
